Tallinn Sydalinna School project

Tâches du volontaire :

  • Present the homeland culture (for example music, famous people, places, etc.).
  • Practice English/German/Russian/or some other language with the pupils.
  • Organise workshops, parties, etc.
  • Play with pupils during outside breaks and during the afterschool programme.
  • Organise hobby groups according to one’s talents.
  • Accompany the pupils on study visits (museums, theatre, cinema, etc.).
  • Help the teachers in other current activities.

Hoolekandeteenused Tõrva unit project

Tâches du volontaire :

  • Helping staff in everyday activities
  • Companying clients in community events and to other facilities (shop, parks, etc)
  • Helping clients in their everyday activities
  • Organizing (educative) activities for the clients

The volunteer will be encouraged to propose his/her personal projects/initiatives related to the theme of this ESC project which can be supported by the host and/or coordinating organization.

Food Bank project

Tâches du volontaire :

  • Helping with the transport of boxes of food
  • Packing and selecting the food
  • Distribution of food
  • Cleaning of warehouse
  • Doing some simple administrative tasks
  • Helping with instructing new volunteers
  • Helping with organizing food drives and special campaigns

If the volunteer wants and is able, he can drive the van, give English language courses to the every week volunteers, prepare lunch for the volunteers and give lectures in schools about poverty, waste of food and the Food Bank. The main help needed, however, is transportation and packaging of food boxes which is physically very challenging.

Ukranian Cultural Center project

Tâches du volontaire :

  • Giving guided tours of the center, during which they will introduce its history and projects to visitors
  • Organizing and structuring the collections
  • Helping with the workshops
  • Promoting the UCC (social media, taking pictures etc,)
  • Maintaining the garden on the grounds of the center

The volunteer will be encouraged to start and independently work on their own project. The organization would like them to pick up one of the UCC’s many activities and develop it further, or come up with a whole new idea of their own. Assistance will be given, in necessary.

The volunteer is expected to participate in different cultural events organized by and happening in our center.

Ida-Vru County Chamber of Disabled People project

Tâches du volontaire :

  • Teach social skills to the clients (shopping, cooking, cleaning, hygiene etc) 30%
  • Assist in manual work, art and music lessons 30%
  • Organise field trips 20%
  • Help the staff and the clients with daily tasks as necessary 10%
  • Occasionally on weekends assist the next-door clients with their daily needs, as the volunteer will stay in the apartment next to some clients 10%
