Au Pair Meeting Point: SUP on Echternach Lake

This is a meeting point exclusively for au pair program participants.

The goal of this meeting point is to meet other au pairs currently in Luxembourg and explore the country while doing something fun together.  This meeting point will be facilitated by an independent youth facilitator and coach who will also take time to explore your family situation and give you some guidance and tools on how to better manage your life as an au pair in Luxembourg. All of this will be done in a non-formal setting while enjoying a picnic in nature together.

 

When? Saturday, 24 August 2024 from 10.00 – 15.00h

Make sure to arrive between 09.30h and 10.00h so we can start together on time.

Where? Kiosk “De Grenge Schapp”, Echternach Lake, L-6487 Echternach

The official program of the day will start at 10.00h with an introduction and a welcome. We will have stand-up paddles available to enjoy on the lake until 13.30h. Lunch will be provided. After that, we will have a sharing circle and small group activities where we can share a bit about your living situation in Luxembourg and in your families. You can get some guidance and advice from the coach to feel more empowered on your journey. We will close the official part of the activities at 15.00h.

After that, you are welcome to stay at the lake and enjoy the afternoon by yourselves.

What to bring: Swimming suit, water, towel, picnic blanket or something to sit on on the ground.

If you are a non-swimmer, life jackets will be provided. Don’t feel comfortable trying the Stand-Up Paddle? You are still very much invited! Come and enjoy the time with the group!
